Moshin Hawlader

Current Higher Degree Research Student

PhD Title: Traffic conflict techniques based on extreme value theories: Investigation of right-turn crash risks at signalized intersection.

Brief Detail: Howlader is a research student at Science & Engineering Faculty, Queensland University of Technology (QUT). His current focus is on conflict data-based crash prediction methodologies applying Extreme Value Theory modelling techniques. The studies involve artificial intelligence-based video analytics for automated extraction of conflict data from vehicle trajectories using state-of-the-art detection and tracking algorithms. His involvement in road safety studies has been highly motivated by his more than 10 years of job experiences as a highway engineer in Roads and Highways Department (RHD) of the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.
