Brief Detail: Shinthia is a PhD candidate in the Faculty of Engineering at Queensland University of Technology (QUT) under the award of the Prime Minister Fellowship of Bangladesh. Her research focuses on the econometric modelling of traffic safety as well as the evaluation of crash countermeasures. She has worked in the Bangladesh Civil Service for more than ten years. Her previous experiences gave her the motivation to explore traffic safety challenges. She completed her B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) and her M.Sc. from Bauhaus University, Germany, under the DAAD Scholarship. She is looking forward to serving her country through her expertise.
